I’m a huge fan of vintage workwear fashion and this shop on 329 Bowery has the best vintage military, navy, and workwear selection I’ve seen by far in the city for a good price. The shop also carries some great true vintage graphic tees which is something I love to see. The owner is really nice as well, a very nice guy to talk to!
This shop is one of my favorites because not only do they carry a well-curated selection of men’s and women’s clothing but they support small businesses by stocking items made by young creatives. It’s hard to walk in and not see something that you want to buy. The owner is a sweetheart so if she’s around don’t hesitate to talk to her! Give it some time and this shop will be a hot spot for young vintage shoppers.
I remember my first time walking in and I was like “Whoa…” because I swear I walked into a vintage graphic tee heaven. The store has a lot of band, sport and cartoon tees from the 80s, 90s and 2000s. There are some really cool sweatshirts, hats, and outerwear as well! The best part about SLCT is their prices. I was able to find a vintage single stitch 80s tee for just $10. This place is so good and definitely worth checking out if you’re into vintage streetwear. The owner is a big fan of Seinfeld and has a vintage Seinfeld jersey hanging up to show for it!
I always stop in when I’m in the area because sometimes I come across some second-hand designer pieces or a pair of sneakers when browsing the store. It’s a nice place to check out for second-hand clothing. There are two locations in NYC but I’ve been my luckiest at this one in Williamsburg.
There are a couple of Beacons Closet locations, but this is the biggest and best one when it comes to having a variety of clothing plus the men’s section isn’t super small. I found some pretty exclusive pieces shopping here and the space of the store is wider than most beacons which is nice!
