My best friend introduced me to Beacon’s when I first moved to NYC and I haven’t stopped shopping there since! We frequented the Park Slope location as part of our yearly summer tradition but in recent times, the Greenpoint location has become my favorite due to its sizable collection. One of my favorite pieces from Beacon’s is an amazing black and white buffalo check gown I wore for my 30th birthday.
This Goodwill has a curated section which is a bit more boutique-like compared to other Goodwill locations and offers a unique selection of vintage and thrift items. I love that you can find a vintage Hawaiian shirt and sequin blazer in the clothing section, then mosey over to the home section for great vintage dishware as well as art.
I worked right around the corner from this Housing Works location for a few years and would frequent the shop almost daily on my lunch break. Even after moving to a new job, I’d go back to that location. I own some amazing vintage accessories and framed art pieces from Housing Works and enjoy going to their little home section to browse the shelves for unique dishes I often repurpose as jewelry holders.
The most exciting aspect about this show is being able to have a vast selection of vintage sellers under one roof with exceptional and meticulously curated vintage collections. From vintage dresses to coats and jewelry, there is something for everyone! I love wearing vintage robes and kimonos and came across so many beautiful ones there. I purchased my very firts short length vintage Japanese one at the last show I attended and it’s absolutely divine!
I initially began my flea experience in downtown Brooklyn at the One Hanson Place location with my Mom and now the location has changed to Dumbo. If you can imagine it, you're likely to find whatever you're looking for at the Brooklyn Flea! I have this adorable vintage mini toy sewing machine I got years ago and keep it on display in my retro girl-cave where I now work from home. Every time I see it, I'm reminded to continue cultivating creativity.
Great for vintage clothing, bags and amazing vintage costume jewelry.
A great selection of affordable vintage & thrift pieces. I once scored a fun vintage leopard jumpsuit from this location that gives all the 60s vibes!
